We are a Scottish Country Dance club located in Cambridge, Ontario. We are a fun social group that shares a love of the traditional social dancing of Scotland, but that also simply enjoy being active and being together.
We'll quickly say that there is no need to be Scottish to enjoy our form of dance! "Country Dancing" has been done in many cultural traditions, and while Scottish Country Dance has a few unique characteristices, it shares a history with english country dancing, contra dancing, Irish 'set' dancing, ceilidh dancing, and even square dancing. It's a gentle form of exercise, encourages excellent mental agility, and lets you have fun with others while enjoying exceptional music!
Our site contains information about us, photos of our outings and classes, links to other dance groups and dancing events, and access to sources of dance information and descriptions. Our site is perpetually under construction with new information being added as we find out about resources and events. Come back often for updates!
